Take advantage of these bet protection promos from DK
The ‘Rewards’ tab at Draftkings Sportsbook is a treasure trove of SB promos, wagering perks and betting bells/whistles. You really should check it every day to see what DK has to offer. For example, they just added a new primetime prop bet protector special. In this one, you can take a risk on a long-shot first touchdown scorer prop. These are popular props that usually have big odds attached. Then, if that player does not score first but still scores in the game, you’ll get up to $20 back in the form of a free bet. That’s some nice insurance on a potentially big payout.
Scrolling a bit further down the ‘Promotions’ list at Draftkings Sportsbook reveals a really remarkable NFL promo that I plan to use this weekend. It’s called “Offensive Defense”, and it offers money back on a football bet if your team puts up 24+ points but still loses the game.
‘Offensive Defense’ is available on all NFL games at DK the end of the year. To unlock it, go to the ‘Rewards’ tab, then click ‘Promotions’, then click to ‘opt-in’ next to the ‘Pregame Protection’ graphic. Then, make any pre-game money line bet. If your team scores 24 or more and is the loses, you’ll get up to $25 the next business day in the form of a free bet.
Maximize the Value
To maximize the value here, I’ll look for a heavy money line underdog that is known to have an explosive offense. If I see such team with odds around +300 to +500 for an upcoming game, I’ll opt in to ‘Offensive Defense’. This way, I’ll know that I have a $25 protection policy on the bet.
