A Sunday for the Dogs
Sunday in Week 10 was a historically awful day for public bettors, as several of the heaviest ATS favorites were outright losers. The Saints, Colts, Chiefs, Rams and Cowboys all lost to seemingly inferior teams, which sent bank rolls everywhere plummeting.
On the other hand, if you are in the book business, this was a very good day.
A representative from Pointsbet reported that almost ALL the action in the Saints loss to the Falcons, was wagered on the Saints. Pointsbet is also reporting that the Titans comeback win over the Chiefs “triggered a nice swing for us of close to a half a million dollars” as more than 80% of the tickets were on KC. Similarly, the Rams were one of the most popular public bets, and then they lost to the Steelers yesterday afternoon.
Not everybody was a loser yesterday
There was at least one happy ending to Sunday of Week 10. Draftkings is reporting that a bettor took it to the house on a $100 Free Bet. The unnamed player parlayed the Illinois Money Line, the LSU Money Line and the Miami Dolphins Money Line. With a payout of +9644, this wager resulted in $9644 in profit.
