The calm before the online betting bonus storm.

The online betting bonus news cycle is a little slow this week. We suspect this is a sign of major bonus things to come, with the Big Game coming up next weekend. The bonus scientists are probably hard at work in the bonus lab right now, inventing new ways to give away free bets. TPN will be reporting on all the deals as they drop. For now let’s focus on a few new bonus happenings at top US online sportsbooks, beginning with Unibet.

Unibet now has a Deposit Reload Bonus that is only available on Thursdays and has something to do with Ron Burgundy.

Unibet is a world class online sportsbook that also has a really great casino. TPN has confirmed that it even has an Anchorman slot game. Now, Unibet will give existing players a 25% reload bonus on deposits of $10 or more. The bonus comes in the form of free casino play credited to your Unibet account if you opt-in. There are two rules for this bonus. First, you have to be in New Jersey (this promo has not dropped on Unibet PA yet). Second, you have to make your deposit on Thursday.

While PA Unibet players aren’t getting the casino reload bonus yet. they can still get the free $20 Bets with zero deposit.

The no rollover requirement New Jersey sportsbook.

Pointsbet New Jersey has said goodbye to ‘excessive and confusing rollover requirements’. So, what do they mean by that? It means that when you win on an online betting bonus at PBNJ, you get to withdraw those funds as cash, immediately. At other online sportsbooks, you get the bonus in the form of a ‘free bet’ or site credit. While at Pointsbet, you can opt-into promos like NBA $3 Threes and or $50 Money Back Parlay Insurance and get a bonus that requires no rollover.

Speaking of $3 Threes, you can get them for Lakers @ Sixers on Saturday. Pointsbet is still sporting a $25 insurance policy on Australian Open next-game winner bets.

The only rollover required at all at Pointsbet is 1x on the up to $1000 risk-free deposit bonus. So, you have to bet the funds in your account one time to release that bonus. Want to know more about the promos at Pointsbet? Just ask professional sportsbook bonus model, Darrelle Revis.

Is Draftkings trying not to give away $500k in free bets?

TPN has been the only source reporting on Break the Book since it launched at DK last week. Even Draftkings themselves have only tweeted about the minimum $500k giveaway one time (props to DK for pinning it tho).

Maybe they are being cautious with promoting this one, not knowing how much the newly legal betting state of Pennsylvania could bet in total. The more the whole state bets at Draftkings, the higher the free bet giveaway goes. And, once the PA state total for wagering crosses the $10,000,000 mark during the promo period (which ends on Jan 26th), they are locked in to a minimum bonus payout of $500,000 divided up into 5% back to everyone who made a bet.

If DK is hoping to stay below the $10m mark, things are not looking so good. The Break the Book total tracker now sits at $9,200,000. The early Big Game action alone should push this one well over $14,000,000, which means a 7% free bet payout statewide. So, of you bet $100 between now and the 26th, you would get a $7 Free Bet. That’s a good value combined with the other promos you can grab at DK.
