The $100 Bets
Unibet has both matchups set at 7.5 point spreads as of Tuesday evening, with Steve taking the underdog in one matchup and the favorite in another. The Titans surprised everyone last week with their 16 point rout of the Ravens in Baltimore. This week, they go to Arrowhead and take on the Chiefs, who just last week put up 51 points on the Texans in 3 quarters of play.
Steve likes the Titans at +7.5, citing Derrick Henry and the clock eating offense as his reason. If the Chiefs can jump to a big lead early on though, the Titans will have to put their game into Ryan Tannehill’s hands, which could lead to the Chiefs covering.
In the late game on Sunday, the 49ers are 7.5 point favorites at home against the Packers. Steve thinks the Packers are a little fraudulent this year, and buys half a point to get the 49ers to -7. The last time these teams met, the 49ers pulverized the Packers, and Steve projects another big win for San Francisco.
With only two NFL games to bet on this week, Steve teases his two picks 6.5 points to take the Titans at +14 and the 49ers at -1. And he looks to Super Bowl futures for the rest of his betting, taking the 49ers to win the Super Bowl at +160. If the 49ers lose outright, Steve’s week will be a catastrophe, but he really believes the 49ers are the real deal.
