Playoffs?  Yes, let’s talk about Playoffs!

Wildcard Weekend is here and we’ve got AFC doubleheader on Saturday and NFC action on the first Sunday of the New Year.

How Did The Stone Cold Lead Pipe Locks Perform This Year?

Before we release these 4 selections, let’s review the final totals of the 2019 season. Stumbled in the final few weeks, but still finished with a winning campaign.

The Thursday Night record was 14-2 at one point, but Thanksgiving and the final 2 weeks blips brought us home at 15-7 for a 68% winning percentage.

Sunday scorecard finished at 39-31 – 57% WP.

Monday Night winning clip was 59% after a 13-9 season.Overall: 73-47 in 120 bets. a 61% winning edge. Now, let’s get down to the business yo!

NFL AFC Wild Card Weekend Locks

AFC Saturday has late afternoon and prime time games.

4:35pm kickoff in Houston on ABC, as the texans get JJ Watt back and host Buffalo.

The Bills were 1-4 on the road this past season against playoff teams, and the only win was against Tennessee before the QB switch. Buffalo is getting much deserved respect as a 2 1/2 pt underdog, but I love that number for a veteran home field team in a huge game. Texans and lay the Points.

Saturday Night Special in Foxboro at 8:15 on CBS.

Patriots in uncomfortable waters as a wild card team for the 3rd time and each time failed to make the Super Bowl.

The upstart Tennessee Titans come marching in with ex patriot star Mike Vrabal flipping all the right switches to finish 7-3 after going with Ryan Tannehill over Marcus Mariotta. He also has the best running back in the league in Derrick Henry and a facing a Pats team that is still good, but are they still great?

Last time this franchise won in Massachusetts was 1993 when they were the Houston Oilers. I expect student to match wits with teacher and take the Titans plus the 5 points

NFL NFC Wild Card Weekend Locks

At 1:05 in the Superdome on FOX, the biggest weekend favorites host Minnesota.

The Saints have been rolling and are 7 1/2 pt picks over the Vikings who stumbled in their last 2 games after backing into the 6 seed when the Rams were eliminated by the 49’ers.

Minnesota has only 1 loss by more than 7 pts all season and should have Dalvin Cook and Adam Theilen back. The Saints have been almost unstoppable and the ultimate question remains about QB Kirk Cousins in big games.

This could be close, but somehow I think Sean Peyton and Drew Brees will have the pedal to the metal. Laying the pts with New Orleans

Finally at 4:40pm on NBC, 2 banged up teams meet for a rematch of a week 12 game when Seattle beat the Eagles 17-9.

The Seahawks almost pulled out a home win vs San Francisco despite losing 3 of its running backs and bringing back Marshawn Lynch to go with Miami rookie Travis Homer.

The Eagles are a mash unit on offense, but the defense has played well – especially at home. No one is playing better than Carson Wentz down the stretch of the last 4 must-win games, despite this technically being his first ever playoff start.

4 turnovers doomed Philly on Nov 24th where they were able to sack Russell Wilson a season high 6 times, but got gashed by now injured RB Rashad Penny.

Will Wilson continue to be a road killer at 7-1 and 5-0 all time against the Eagles? I’m feeling a hot Eagles team getting the win as a 1 1/2 pt home underdog

Happy 2020 everyone!!!
