Week 6 is alive and hopefully, so is the incomparable Mr Thursday Night. Coaches, players and even fans have complained about these games on short weeks, but, at 7 and 0 so far, I say: keep em coming baby!
The New England Patriots have been huge favs just about every week, and tonight, the line is a hefty 17 against a Giants team which would have had a chance to keep this game competitive if not for the complete wipe out of virtually every offensive weapon available for rookie QB Daniel Jones.
The top 2 rushers Saquon Barkley and Wayne Gallman are out, as are top wide-outs Evan Ingram and Sterling Shepard. Rookie QB’s have been sacrificial meat in Foxboro for a long time. Only 2 have passed for over 300 yards in the last 14 and those 2 were Andrew Luck and DeShaun Watson and they both lost to keep the streak at 0-and-14.
Tom Brady doesn’t even have to play great anymore for the Pats to win and his defense helps make it easier with dominance over every team so far except the Bills, who imploded with mistakes 2 weeks ago in the only close game of the first four.
I hate laying more than 2 td’s, but the Giants will be reduced to little men by the end of the night. Taking the Pats and laying the 17 and also adding UNDER 42 1/2 for my Thursday Night Double play!
