Tonight, the 135th meeting between bitter rivals from 130 miles apart; the Pittsburgh at Cleveland on Thursday Night Football. Steelers have reversed a 1-4 disaster to right the ship on the backs of their ferocious defense and 4 straight wins to move back into Playoff contention at 5 and 4. The 3 and 6 Browns have been extremely erratic and would be all but done with a loss at home.
Many wonder why Cleveland is favored by 3 tonight, but it’s strictly based on the desperation factor. No turnovers in the past 2 weeks and a win last week have renewed hopes that the Baker Boys can take advantage of the variety of offensive weapons which will include Kareem Hunt joining Nick Chubb in the backfield.
Pittsburgh has owned the Browns 7-0-1 in their last 8 meetings and Minka Fitzpatrick has been the biggest impact trade performer in the NFL with 5 picks, a fumble recovery and 2 TDs in 7 games since heading to the Burgh from Miami.
Everyone in the world is all over the Steelers and it looks too easy, but I am taking the Browns because they absolutely, positive must win this game. Cleveland -3.
