This props bet now has a payout of +475 at both Unibet PA and Unibet NJ. That’s $100 to win $475 if it hits. Other sites list much lower payouts on the same bet. For example, Draftkings Sportsbook and Sugarhouse are both offering payouts of +400 on a Cohen TD + Bears Win prop bet.
Our Take: Cohen has not done much in the red zone this year, scoring only 3 receiving touchdowns this year and 0 rushing TDs. But, the same goes for the rest of the Bears in this often anemic offense. So, if they can maintain the momentum from their (impressive?) Thanksgiving comeback versus Detroit, then there should be more red zone chances for all of the Bears weapons. This includes Cohen.
The problem for the 178 lb. running back, is that he is now clearly behind rookie David Montgomery in the pecking order. As the Bears mounted their comeback last week, it was Montgomery who totaled 75 yards on the ground and a receiving touchdown. Cohen, had 26 yards in his receiver out-of-the-backfield role, but did not find the end zone. Plus, the Cowboys Defense has only allowed one receiving touchdown to a running back all season.
With pressure from fans and the media, it seem that Matt Nagy now is committing more and more to Montgomery as a lead back. So, in a crucial game against a potentially explosive Cowboys offense, all signs point to the Bears leaning on the rookie once again. With this in mind, we are staying away from any Cohen TD props today.
Plus, the Bears would have to win the game for the bet to cash, and winning has not been easy for the Bears this season. Even at Soldier Field where they are only a .500 team this season.
Unibet Odds Boost #2 – Prescott and Trubisky BOTH Throw One Touchdown or More
With this props betting Odds Boost from Unibet PA and Unibet NJ, you’ll get a payout of -134 if both QBs throw at least one TD in the game. This is looking like a strong value play, and we have not found such a bet at any other online sportsbooks.
Our Take: Dak Prescott has eight multiple TD-pass games this season, and only three games with zero TD passes. Now, the Bears D has been very good against the pass. They rank 5th overall in team defense and have allowed the 5th fewest passing TDs to opposing teams. However, they have been beatable at times. Last week they gave up two first half TD passes to David Blough, the third string QB for the Lions. And the week before they allowed Daniel Jones to throw for two passing touchdowns. Dak Prescott and his receivers are much more dangerous than the Lions and Cowboys.
Michell Trubisky has not been as good as Dak Prescott. You may have heard about this? But the second year QB appears to be regaining confidence. In fact, Mitch has quietly thrown for at least one TD pass in each of the Bear’s last 4 games. This includes 3 TD passes in week 10 against Detroit and again in week 13 against Detroit. While Dallas is only allowing 208.5 yards passing on average to opposing QBs, they have allowed multiple passing touchdowns in three of their last four games. The one outlier game still included one TD pass for Tom Brady, in a game that featured bad weather and wind.
The weather tonight could make things difficult for both QBs, with temperatures around freezing and 16mph winds. But we think that Prescott and Trubisky can each get at least one TD on a red zone slant or maybe a screen to the various backfield receiving threats in the game. So, while the negative payout at -134 isn’t that juicy, we see this one as a value play and are giving it the green light.
