Michigan State vs Iowa Preview and Pick

Iowa Hawkeyes: The Iowa Hawkeyes might be the best 0-2 team in the country. They have played each of their first two games incredibly close and they could just as easily be 2-0 going into this game. Their first time out they lost by four away at Purdue and last week they lost by one at home to a much better than advertised Northwestern team. The Hawkeye’s have showed a lot of promise but shot themselves in the foot in each game. Their starting QB already has three interceptions in two games, but if they can clean that up I have no doubt that they will be able to get past Michigan State.

Michigan State Spartans: One of the biggest upsets in all of college football last weekend was Michigan State’s win over Michigan in Ann Arbor. The Spartans were +950 underdogs to win that game and they went into the big house and came out with a 27-24 win over the Wolverines. This was absolutely shocking to the college football world considering that the week before MSU was beaten soundly at home by an awful Rutgers team. Rutgers also went out the next week and did what they do best and got run off the field by Indiana at home. Looking back the win over Michigan will be an outlier in an otherwise bad season for MSU.Pointsbet promo

The Pick: Iowa has a good running back in Tyler Goodson who will be able to take advantage of the Spartans defense and limit the amount of time the MSU offense has the ball. I think this is a get right game for the Hawkeyes and they should beat Michigan State with ease. I am taking Iowa -6.5 on Saturday at home.
