The Bearcats are undefeated with a big spread vs Houston

Cincinnati vs Houston Preview and ATS Pick

Cincinnati Bearcats: The undefeated #6 Cincinnati Bearcats are winning games and winning them big. I have bet on them twice so far this season and they have won and covered for me both times. 13.5 seems like a big number until you realize that Cincinnati’s smallest margin of victory all season was 14 points and that only happened one time against #22 Army. In the rest of their games Cincinnati has won by at least 21 and that includes wins over two very competitive teams, Memphis and #16 SMU. The Bearcats average margin of victory in their first five games is 29.6. The Bearcats are on a roll and have to continue to win in a dominate style if they want to impress the college football playoff committee.

Houston Cougars: The Cougars have gotten off to an underwhelming 2-2 start this season. They have beaten the bad teams on their schedule, Navy and Temple, and lost to the good teams on their schedule, BYU and UCF. And they haven’t just lost to the good teams they played, they have lost badly in each game and were not within the 13.5. BYU beat Houston by 17 and UCF beat Houston by 23 last weekend.
The Pick: The Bearcats are going to have the strength of their opponent in mind when they play Houston on Saturday. If they want to outshine BYU in the eyes of the college football playoff committee, they are going to have to beat Houston by more than 17. This will certainly be part of the game plan and I do not see Cincinnati taking their foot off the gas for any reason in this game. That’s why I am confident taking the Cincinnati Bearcats -13.5 on Saturday at 3:30pm EST.
