The Sixers are injured and they can’t win on the road and the Vegas odds have noticed.

With injuries sidelining both Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid for at least one week each, the Sixers find themselves facing the best teams in the NBA. The injury plague hit Philly just in time to begin a west coast run with back to back games at the Staples Center. Without their two superstars, the Sixers actually managed to hang against the Clippers. They lost the game on Sunday 136-130 as double digit road underdogs. The Sixers will likely be getting 12.5 or more points again against the Lakers on Tuesday. Both Embiid and Simmons are expected to sit again. The Sixers odds for the NBA Championship were already sliding as a result of their inability to win games on the road.

The injury issues have only accelerated the downward line movement.

At the beginning of February, DraftKings Sportsbook listed the Sixers at +1400 to win the 2020 NBA Finals. Prior to the NBA trade deadline, the Sixers were +1200 to win the championship this year.

The Sixers have now lost eight road games in a row dating back to a 90-87 win at the Knicks. Prior to that PHI had lost 6 more road games in a row. The weight of the injury bug combined with the piling up of these road losses is what has the Vegas oddsmakers adding more and more value onto the Sixers 2020 NBA Championship payout.

The odds on Philadelphia to the 2020 NBA Finals have risen all the way to +2200 at BetMGM WV Sportsbook, +2300 at DraftKings Sportsbook and +2300 at UniBet Sportsbook PA.

FanDuel has a $50 Sixers Lakers First Basket Scorer Bonus

First basket scorer props are an exciting way to bet at FanDuel or any other sportsbook. The payouts can be big on these bets, because they are so difficult to predict. First of all, you don’t know what team will win the tip. Then, no matter who gets the ball first, literally any player in a uniform could end up scoring the first basket of the game. In the Sixers last game against the Clippers, it was Josh Richardson who made the first shot. In their previous game agains the Knicks, Tobias Harris scored first in the game. The Lakers have allowed players from opposing teams to score first in each of their last 3 games. First basket is a tricky prop to get right, but the big payouts make them worth a shot. Amazingly, FanDuel just announced a new bonus that minimizes the first basket scorer risk.

Super Trey Day at FanDuel Sportsbook pays out extra DFS and Sports betting credit when you risk $50 or more on a First Basket Scorer Prop.

The new FanDuel bonus is available now for bets on the Sixers vs Lakers NBA game on Tuesday night.

To get this FanDuel Sportsbook bonus, just opt-in at the ‘My Promotions’ page on sportsbook.fanduel.com. Then, make at least a $50 wager on any player from either the 76ers or the Lakers to score the first basket. Win or lose that prop bet, you will get $3 in site credit for every three point shot that your player’s team makes in the game. The max bonus is $50, so there is a good chance that you will recoup most of your first basket scorer bet if it loses. An example of this bet would be taking Lebron James to score the first basket vs the Sixers. If the Lakers get 11 three pointers in the game, FanDuel will pay you out an extra $33 in site credit ($3 x 11 = $33). This bonus payout will happen regardless of if Lebron does or does not score first.
