The NBA Monday slate is always one to look forward to, and this week, there are some blockbuster games on the calendar. These contests also have a lot of betting value, making our job fun as sports bettors. Picking sides is always a standard wager you should look at, but there is a ton of value with player props.
Player props limit liability, and they have the same odds in most cases as taking a spread. They are a great way to make money when it comes to NBA betting. Here are some prop bets to consider for Monday, March 21.
Jalen Brunson o14.5 Points
Jalen Brunson is a terrific role player for the Dallas Mavericks, and he has stepped up big this season. The point guard is averaging 16.1 PPG, and his total is set at 14.5. This is the steal of the night against a good Minnesota team.
Brunson has matched up against Minnesota twice this season, and he is averaging 23 PPG. His minutes are around 40 compared to his 31.6 mark in his last ten games. The Mavericks are going to need Brunson to come up big, and this will give him a lot of chances to score points.
LeBron James o5.5 Assists
LeBron James’ point total is at 30, and I think it’s a slight risk considering he is averaging 26 against Cleveland this season. The most under-the-radar prop bet for James is his assist total. He has been money in this department, averaging 6.2 per season and eight against the Cavaliers.
James is day to day, but if he plays, this will help him hit his assists. The MVP does it all for the Lakers and prides himself on getting his teammates involved in the action.
Evan Mobley u10.5 Rebounds
Evan Mobley is the big man for the Cavaliers, and he has done a great job controlling the pain. However, I like him to go under his listed rebounds total on Monday. Mobley is averaging 8.3 rebounds per game, and his total is at 10.5 in this contest.
In his first game against L.A., he only had six boards. The Lakers are a big team that love to slow down the pace.
This is a very tough combination for rebounds for an opposing player. Additionally, Mobley has only gone over this total twice in his past five.
LaMelo Ball o5.5 Rebounds
LaMelo Ball is a natural scorer, but the thing I like about the young star is his GRIT on the floor. Ball can do everything, and this is why you should always look at his assists and rebound numbers. The Hornets will line up against the Pelicans on Monday, and Ball’s boards total is set at 5.5.
I think he easily surpasses this number, based on how fast both teams play. In his first game against New Orleans, he had six rebounds, and he is averaging 6.8 RPG this season. He has gone over this total three times in his past five contests.
