Major League Baseball is here to break the midweek fuzzies and deliver a slate of thrilling matchups to carry enough entertainment into the early weekend.

The Chicago Cubs— alongside the Los Angeles Dodgers— have the longest active win streak in baseball. On the other side, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Baltimore Orioles are heard in the complete opposite direction.

Here are the MLB games to bet on Wednesday.

Detroit Tigers vs. Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays split their first two games in their ongoing series with the Detroit Tigers. They fell in the first game 2-3 but rebounded strongly in the second game with an 8-1 result.

They are an impressive 22-15 on the season. This is good enough for second in a competitive American League East. They had won three of four games prior to the start of their series with the Tigers.

Drew Rasmusen (3-1, 2.67 ERA) will be on the bump for the Rays, giving them a consistent presence on the rubber.

Detroit is only 13-24 thus far, putting them in last in the American League Central division; they swept the Orioles in three games before entering the series with the Rays, though they have trouble consistently getting on the winning end against more reputable teams.

The Tigers have virtually no explosive batters, and with Austin Meadows on the 10-day list, they are up against it. Eduardo Rodriguez (1-2, 3.72 ERA) will be charged with slowing down the Rays in the matchup.

Washington Nationals vs. Miami Marlins

The Nationals have struggled all season long, leading them to a 12-26 record. They also lost the first two games in their current series against the Marlins and were outscored by a combined total of 13-3, showing that precedent is not on their side.

Even worse, the Nats have lost five of six as their star, Juan Soto, seems increasingly likely to be traded at the deadline. Josiah Gray (4-3, 4.34 ERA) will get the start for the struggling visitors.

Miami is not a dominant team, but they have a decent pitching staff that has capitalized on a terrible Washington team. Their offense has also been clicking as of late, and with Gray’s ERA, they should find more success on Wednesday.

Pablo Lopez (4-1, 1.05 ERA) will look to continue his fantastic start to the year when he trots onto the mound.

New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles

The Yankees are the best team in baseball. The Orioles are the worst team in the division and among the lesser teams in the league.

Matchups do not always come down to simple records and can be influenced by factors such as pitching, but that too favors the Yankees and Gerritt Cole (3-0, 2.95 ERA) rather than Jordan Lyles (2-3, 4.38 ERA). The Yankees also have a significant advantage with their power hitters, most of whom are in great form.

Baltimore is better than it was last season but is still far away from competing against the higher powers of the league, so betting on them getting a victory would be nothing more than a shot in the dark.

Seattle Mariners vs. Toronto Blue Jays

Toronto has not been the dominating ball club that most expected during the offseason, but they did win both of the games in the current series against the Mariners by a combined score of 9-2. They are far more talented than their challengers and could easily go on a run if everything starts clicking.

The Mariners are bereft of torrent offensively, and their pitcher in the encounter, Marco Gonzales (1-4, 3.38 ERA), does not compare to the Blue Jays’ Kevin Gausman (3-2, 2.40 ERA).
