The PGA Tour and BETMGM strike deal for branding and content.
The PGA Tour has named BetMGM as an official betting operator, in a multi-year deal for both content and marketing. The online sportsbook division of MGM resorts and casinos will now be able to use official PGA Tour logos on its betting platform and in promotions.
Reporting on the deal also indicates that users who place bets on PGA Tour events will get video highlights of their favorite players via BetMGM.com. It can also be expected that the sportsbook will feature more golf promos.
Just a few weeks ago BetMGM made headlines when they gave away $100 in free bets to anyone who bet $1 on Tiger Woods to make the cut at the Memorial Tournament.
The TPN Take:
It’s no surprise to see BetMGM partner with the PGA Tour after rival DraftKings became the first to do-so last week. MGM already sponsors multiple tour players and the betting action on golf has been hot since the PGA became one of the first sports to return.
