IMG ARENA, a subsidiary of IMG/Endeavor, the world’s leading sports, fashion and media company, today announced that it has acquired Ryder Cup data distribution rights to be distributed through its Golf Event Centre. IMG ARENA will now share Ryder Cup data with betting operators across a range of markets including Europe and Asia Pacific. Ryder Cup is one of golf’s most prestigious events and provides a strong addition to IMG ARENA’s growing portfolio of global golf events for betting fans around the world.
As an iconic sporting showpiece, the addition of the Ryder Cup to the Golf Event Centre cements its status as a must-have product. Sports bettors will be able to enjoy a totally new and unique experience at this year’s event, with a never-seen-before range of data and content to consume as they enjoy a magical three days of action.

How Will IMG ARENA Use Ryder Cup Data?
- The biennial match play event will be part of IMG ARENA’s ever-growing Golf Event Centre. This already includes European Tour events, and the PGA Championship also run by the PGA of America.
- IMG ARENA will work with organizers and rights holders at the PGA of America and Ryder Cup Europe to package data for sportsbook operators.
- Sportsbooks will then be able to display this data with user friendly visualizations, in real time, to golf fans who want to bet on the event.
- This means that you can bet live, see what is happening in real-time and have access to an interactive course visualization.
The Ryder Cup: Team USA vs. Team Europe
The official Ryder Cup is a biennial men’s golf tournament that pits Team USA and Team Europe professional golfers against each other. The venues alternate every two years between golf courses in the United States and Europe.
The first Ryder Cup matches took place in 1927 at which the United States team were the victors. The event is co-administered by the PGA Tour and the European Tour and is the namesake of a European businessman, Samuel Ryder, whom donated the trophy for this historic event.
The European team are the current cup holders after winning in 2018. Team USA will have the opportunity to take the prize money and the trophy on their home soil as the next Ryder Cup will be happening on the Straits course at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin from September 21-26, 2021.

The Straits Course in the Whistic Straits is known for one of the most dramatic and picturesque courses in the USA. Pete Dye’s designed course is considered a critically acclaimed masterpiece. Risks and rewards are aspects in this fantastic course that will be ideal for matchplay. The entire course is affected at a high speed by wind with the 8 holes that cover the shoreline of Lake Michigan with the special difficulty of tight fairways added. It has hosted four consecutive PGA Championships it will still offer for golfers to remember for their memorable First major win – Jason Day in 2004 which fended off Jordan Spieth by three strokes in.
