Shows out, sports betting in at the D
Another win for sports betting in America, as The D hotel in Las Vegas announces a new sports book. Circa Race and Sports Book will move into the second floor showroom at the downtown Vegas hotel. Currently, the showroom is home to multiple live review productions, all of which will be asked to move out.
The new sportsbook at The D Las Vegas is scheduled to open in time for March Madness 2020. With Circa’s involvement, we expect this to be a state-of-the-art facility. Circa has been making headlines with the construction of a new downtown casino (called Circa), which will feature the largest sportsbook in the world.
Amongst the displaced, is the cast of “Friends! The Musical Parody”. Sadly, the musical incarnations of Phoebe, Chandler, Monica and Rachel will not be there for you anymore at the D. Musical Joey, on the other hand, might be able to find work at Caesars.
So you can’t see “Friends” in Las Vegas anymore?
NO! Not to worry. “Friends” is celebrating it’s 25th Anniversary on the Las Vegas Strip this Fall.
Last month, the Fountains of Bellagio unveiled a brand new show in honor of the Friends anniversary. “I’ll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour…” is a dancing-water spectacular set to the famous theme song by Rembrandts.
Amazingly, the iconic Central Perk couch appeared at the opening for photo-ops in front of The Fountains. However, the couch’s residency on Las Vegas Blvd ended after just one night.
Speaking of the Rembrandts…
The duo recently performed their hits at The Park. While next door, at New York-New York, “Phoebe’s Yellow Cab Escape Room” has opened on the Brooklyn Bridge.
